Our goal at Akolade is to breed only to improve the breed. Our main focus is health, temperament and conformation, in that order. We do not condone or support the breeding of the "white"/albino Doberman as it is a genetic mutation, King dobermans, or any other "fad" that is not accepted by the standard set by The Doberman Pinscher Club Of America. All of our dogs are home raised and live as a part of my family. I do not run a "kennel" and only breed on occasion taking each aspect of both the prospective sire and dam in to serious consideration. First we examine pedigree's for health and longevity, then we look at the temperaments and accomplishments of the dogs and relatives, and finally we try to match up conformation between the dogs in hopes that they will compliment each other both in conformation and temperament. I place puppies in much the same way, if you put a deposit down one one of our puppies we try our best to match the puppy's personality with the family it will be going to - The most dominant puppy in the litter, even though it may be the first to greet you, would not be the one to go in to a home that has never had a doberman before, nor a home that has small children. Our pet prices range from 3,000.00 to 3,500.00 depending on the breeding. All puppies are docked, cropped, have de claws removed, are de-wormed and have 2 sets of vaccines before they leave my home at about 9 weeks of age. I am in good standing with both AKC and The Doberman Pinscher Club of America.
